Beef in Spicy Sauce / Rendang Istimewa

Ingredients:
800 g beef knuckle, cubed
5 cups coconut milk
A
10 cloves garlic, ground
3 big onions, ground
3 cm piece ginger, ground
4 buah keras, soaked
20 g belacan, toasted and ground
B
4 cm piece lengkuas, bruised
3 stalks seral, bruised
3 tbsp krisik
3 asam keping, soaked
4 daun limau perut
1 daun kunyit, tied into a knot
20 baby potatoes, peeled and boiled till half cooked.
salt to taste
Directions:
1. Boil beef with coconut milk, A and B.
2 When meat is almost tender, add baby potatoes.
3. Boil until gravy thickens. Add salt.
4. Remove herbs before serving.
